Built in 1967, Les Dromonts was the first authentic purpose built ‘swinging sixties’ ski hotel in the Alps. Reopening in December 2014, it is currently being revitalised by the extremely talented Sibuet Group.
The rounded organic shapes and the free-flow criss-crossing geometry of the architecture personify a decade when all the rules were broken with funky focus.
Situated in the heart of the high altitude (1800 m) village of Avoriaz, Dromonts is a hotel designed by Jacques Labro, the same architect who designed the entire village.
From all aspects; from the terrace, from the bar, from the restaurant and from the rooms, the view is sensational. The Alps of this famous region of the Haute Savoie put on a non-stop spectacle in terms of light and colour.
