Hotels in Berlin and the State of Brandenburg have reopened on Monday after nearly two months of shutdown, as the German authorities continue to ease anti-coronavirus restrictions.
As part of a preventive measure, German authorities closed hotels across the country at the end of March and finally allowed them to reopen their doors to guests from May 25.
However, the hotel operators would have to comply with a diverse number of measures like maintaining safe distance inside the hotels, and ensuring every room remains empty for 48 hours after each guest has departed. Breakfast buffets are to remain closed to the guests.
There are no obligatory requirements for guests to wear face masks inside the hotels.
