Shepherd Entertainment gives you the history of Kassiopi, one of the nicest villages of the island, and shows you it’s sites
Kassiopi is one of the nicest villages of the island. Once Emperor Tiberius built a holiday home here but Cicero, Marcus Antonius, later Casanova also spent time here and made the hearts of local ladies flutter if the historians can be trusted. Nero the bloody Cesar himself presented his own plays in the Theater of Kassiopi. The local church has its own wonder worker icon about which many stories are written in the church chronicles.
Only the walls of the Anju Forrest built some time later remained as memories of the past. The invoilent building is threatened not by the Turkish troops but by the hordes of tourists. Many ships sank near the rocky coast so it’s a favorite place of divers hunting for treasures.
